Bobcaygeon Physio & Rehab is a well-established physiotherapy clinic located in Bobcaygeon, proudly serving the community and surrounding areas – including Lindsay, Fenelon Falls, Buckhorn, Kinmount, and Dunsford – since 2015.
At Bobcaygeon Physio & Rehab, we provide personalized, comprehensive treatment plans tailored to patient needs, ensuring effective rehabilitation and improved mobility.
We are currently looking for a physiotherapy assistant (PTA) or registered kinesiologist (R-Kin) to join our team! This position will be full time and there will be patient care and administrative duties required.
PTA/R-Kin Responsibilities:
– Assist the Physiotherapist
– Provide patient care and support in a clinic setting
– Provide treatments as outlined by the Physiotherapist
– Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve patients’ strength, mobility, and overall physical function, as prescribed by the Physiotherapist
– Monitor patients’ progress and report to Physiotherapist
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, our clinic has two PTs currently
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
– Diploma and Certification for PTA
OR
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field
– Registration and Insurance as a Kinesiologist or eligibility for registration in the near future
– Experience as PTA or R.Kin working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
– Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
– Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Our clinic will provide training on duties of the PTA/R.Kin along with front desk administrative duties.
Admin Responsibilities:
– Answering/returning emails and phone calls
– Greeting and billing for patient appointments
– Taking intake information for new patients
– Organization of scheduling appointments
– Clinic/Office/Gym organization and general tidying
